I would really love to know what you think.

Very unique link

It looks nice, but the list on the right is a little confusing, as it is exact the same things that are put on top of the page. The design in itself looks nice, but I wonder what the site is about. Is it a page about what you like?

There are no About section, there is an introduction on the page which says something in the line of that this site doesn´t contain anything. There is a lot of unneccessary things that I won´t read, in my own opinion it is unclear what the site really is about.

Nice design, FlickersLair! :D

Hi flickerslair,

I agree with ben76213 that the menu on the top, as it is the same as the right menu, is somewhat confusing.

Why not make it a top menu with 'home button' - 'contact' - 'about' etc.?

Next to that, you try to get the design as open as possible but due to the pictures as a menu choice and the text beneath them it all gets a little chaotic.

If you want them to stand out, why not give them / or the whole menu, a different background. A earthly light brown color would match best i think.

Just to give you an idea i made a screenshot and altered the look a little bit by putting a transparent layer over it. (had to be quick)

The text in the menu i would fit underneath the buttons. Now it sticks out left and right.

In the text i would make a textual link at the end just to make sure every one sees a link to click on. Not every one recognises the pictures as a link. Further more they don't have an alt text. So if i would have pictures disabled i would not see a thing.

Many thanks for the comments. I cant believe I forgot alt tags, I know better!

The top bar is a constant throughout the site whereas as the panel on the right of the page is just on the home page, meant as an explanation of what can be found on the site. I like your suggestion, I will have to play and see what I can come up with.
