Another thing you should do is split your page into as smaller parts you can so it's easy to protect them.
(Ashlyn you were to late posting that final remark, anyway who's going to look for this thread in Pet Peeves? ;o) ) |

You can chop your images into 1000 tiny pieces, but it won't stop a screenshot. I use the image protector to save my bandwidth only. I don't mind if people save the images, so long as they don't hotlink. |

I suppose the best way to protect images would be to embed them in a flash file and clearly mark across an important part of the image with your name. |

Ashlyn: thanks! |

I don't mind if others want to link to my images, as long as it's not too many, and they give little ole me a bit of credit, and if they ask it's nice. I would do that for a photo on another site, but not say a small logo, but then I'd download it and not link to it anyway. Unless it's just a button, I'd still probably ask. I always compress pretty heavily, and reduce size somewhat anyhow, firstly to help my users, and save time and bandwidth, and secondly, so if someone does steal a pic off me, they get a much reduced quality version. MOSt of my pics are average snaps, but there's a few I am a little proud of. |
